Tanri Abeng University is a private university which is located in Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta. This university is exceptional in both lecturers and infrastructure. Modern campus building complemented by high-class facilities make this university an ideal place to conduct learning activities. However, in spite of all these available facilities, there is still one aspect which is slightly unsatisfactory, which is manual paper-based lecturer evaluation process.

This fact becomes the basis of this research, which has the purpose of "modernizing" lecturer evaluation process which is still manually done and paper-based, becomes web-based with online feature, which of course will provide numerous benefits for all parties, including the students, lecturers, and academic staffs. The development of this system utilizes SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle) method which is done phase-by-phase starting from system planning, requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and ended by maintance phase. This web-based system is using Codelgniter PHP as its programming framework, complemented by other web-based elements such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Additionally, MySQL is also used as the database to store all data within the system.

This web-based system provides various functions which makes lecturer evaluation process easier. Academic staff is able to input students, lecturers, study programs, subjects, abd classes data with ease. Furthermore, students are able to evaluate their lecturers little to no effort by only filling the evaluation form simply by clicking. Last but not least, lecturers are able to check their evaluation results directly in real-time without the need of waiting for the academic staffs to report to them.
